Turk is a pit bull / mastiff mix I trained in Gilbert, AZ. Turk completed Basic Obedience I and II and is a fine working dog. He can go anywhere, and is great with other animals, kids, family, friends… everything. All the bad stuff you hear about pits and pit mixess is usually the result of people being irresponsible with their dogs.

I am a premier Gilbert dog trainer and behaviorist. I also currently live in Gilbert, so I’m very familiar with this community and it’s dog training needs. This also means I can offer you prime time for lessons such as mornings and evenings during the week. I have also done a ton of lessons at local parks, and we may do some lessons there if we need to. As I write this article, I’m just finishing up with an awesome pit bull / mastiff male. We did a number of lessons at a local dog park because he needed to work well around other dogs. He wasn’t afraid of other dogs… but if another dog got in his face and challenged him, he was not going to tolerate that. I also worked a terrific Aussie mix in Gilbert this summer. The dog started out impossible to walk in public around other dogs, and also bit me on my pant leg (just missing the skin) when I first entered the house. The owners had been avoiding the building problems with their dog up to that point, until it became obvious that something serious had to be done. Oh, and the dog was getting in fights with other dogs in the home. All that is now solved, and the owners have even asked that I house sit for them on their honeymoon next year, which I agreed to do as a favor (I am not in the house sitting business, but I will do that for friends, and these folks have become my friends).
