I am a premier dog trainer and behaviorist for Goodyear, AZ. Goodyear is pretty far away for most dog trainers, but I have and will train dogs there. I will do obedience, evaluations, puppy lessons, and behavior modification. But, because of the distance, I typically prefer lessons in the mornings or weekends to avoid rush hour traffic on I-10, unless I have other students in your area at the time. And I have to charge extra for the distance and time, but it’s worth it if you need a good dog trainer, and not “some dude” who lives nearby or one of those flakes out there who charge a ton of money and do a quickie electric collar type of program (which i object to… I figure you pay the money, thus your dog deserves patient and proper training). I remember a Boxer I trained In Goodyear. She needed Basic Obedience I, and ended up well. The main glitch happened one day during the latter part of the lessons, when she went with her dog to a farm and it tried to attack a goat, and the owner got bitten in the process trying to calm the dog down. I had to educate the owner regarding proper handling of a dog when aggressive, and we had to work through the dog’s issues… which all worked out well in the end, and the dog ended up fine around the goats, too. And this same owner then referred me to a customer of hers who was having trouble with their aggressive Rottweilers.
