Do you think dogs should be trained the same way today as they were in the “old days” (and I’m referring to decades ago)?
Of course, I do not think so. After all these years, I’ve seen too much, done too much, learned too much: good riddance to the “old days” and old ways.
You can be really good: there are very good practical and ethical reasons the good trainers moved away from the old ways.
You can be really bad: there are reasons why so many new trainers are using the old, obsolete ways which are neither effective or ethical.
Why are there so many retrogressive new trainers showing up all over the internet these days marketing their “certification” programs or some kind of miracle cures, when the top guys know not to use these horrible methods anymore?
Figure that out.
Plan accordingly.
