Color: All colors acceptable, but some patterns can indicate the dog isn’t purebred so are not desired

Background: Sighthounds of this type are very ancient in origin in southern Asia, though the Afghan hound was modified over the years by breeders.

Temperament: Aloof, playful, bonding closely to the family, independent, reserved with strangers
