Dogs growl at other dogs. So, wouldn’t it be a natural training method for me to growl at my dog?
No.
A growl is a threat to attack. You never want to put yourself in a position where your dog feels that its life is in danger.
Do this with some dogs, and you have a very high chance of being severely injured.
Dog training is a game. It isn’t a way to mess around, thinking up “do it yourself” methods for training. Grunts, growls, groans and other silly things like that can and will be interpreted by a dog as a serious threat.
Don’t be a cheapskate. Don’t try to outsmart the system. Go get professional advice. What you are doing is dangerous, very dangerous.
