I am a premier Fountain Hills dog trainer and behaviorist, offering a full line of services for residents. I am a well known and respected dog trainer and behaviorist for the entire metropolitan area. You can see, by searching the internet, I am asked by the local TV media about dog issues. I am well known in the animal rescue world, and am the Founder of Citizens Animal Welfare Society. I am co-founder of PATCHES, a project to build and operate a privately run animal shelter to supplement what the County does. I do expert witness work for attorneys. I have a partner in another business where we offer specialized therapy dog training and support to various organizations. I don’t use harsh training methods. I’ve trained all ages and a wide variety of breeds in all parts of town. This is a central business area for me, and I’m in the vicinity of your place almost every day. Setting up lessons is as simple as letting me know what you are dealing with, and then arranging an evaluation or lessons, from puppy lessons, to obedience, to behavior modification. I can do lessons at most times of the day, and sessions will be scheduled in relation to where my other appointments are each day (because I have to plan a weekly route, and I HATE being late).
I have trained a good number of dogs in Fountain Hills. All have been private lessons, some in gated communities and some not. I have also done a number of evaluations and house training lessons in Fountain Hills. I like Fountain Hills.
I remember a couple of Shelties I trained their during Christmastime, years ago, when I had first moved here from Seattle. The nights were starry, the commute there was easy (we did 8 pm lessons), the owner was a very nice single mom, and the dogs trained very well. I still remember training one night in the town square, with all the Christmas lights, and having to end a bit early because it started to snow! The dogs loved it!
My latest student is in training because she wants her dog to be a therapy dog, primarily for assisted living residents. We started the training in her home (she lives in Rio Verde), and then we are finishing up the lessons at Fountain Park. We’ve done lessons there, also outside Desert Vista Dog Park, and also in a local Home Depot.
