It is a labor of love to write something daily about dogs. It isn’t that I don’t have ideas, it is more that the daily story research causes me to see news stories that aren’t always so happy. I try to weed those out for my readers since some stories are too difficult to meditate upon. There is a lot of animal abuse out there, and a continual reading of that kind of material isn’t healthy for anyone, including myself. Thus, while I will sometimes comment on difficult topics, I keep the harshest stuff away from my readers. There is no need to be sensational in order to promote responsible animal welfare.
